Currently, a user is shown all saved submissions associated with all customer numbers on which that user is listed. Thus, for example, I see all submissions for customer number X that were uploaded under the sponsorship of my own account associated with customer number X, as well as all submissions for customer number X that were uploaded under the sponsorship of my colleague's account who is also associated with customer number X.
This is a positive development, as it allows different attorneys, e.g., junior attorney and senior attorney, to both review a submission prior to filing, each using their own MyUSPTO account--the EFS framework did not allow for this.
The problem is that it is difficult to focus the Saved Submissions list on a subset of submissions relevant to a particular user. The two filters that are provided are pretty much useless in the context of submissions uploaded by sponsored staff--you can either view "All" submisssions (i.e., no filter) or only those *created* by the current user. If sponsored staff, however, created a submission under the current user's sponsorship, then this submission will not show up if you filter by the current user.
What is needed is a third filter option besides "All" and "Current User"--a filter option for "Current User Sponsorship" or the like. This filter option would show any saved submissions that are either created by the current user or are under the authorization of their sponsorship.
I hope this can be added.
